Great harnesses - strong and durable. We use for travel in car and RV with safety chain seat-belts restraints for our two large active dogs allowing them a bit of free movement with safety during quick stops. Handle on harness is helpful when my girls need a bit of extra control with close encounters during their adventures on leash or just a helpful lift-up into boat or car.
This is a pretty decent harness that dogs cant quite escape if fitted well.It doesnt restrict my dogs movement or affect her gait a whole lot,Keep in mind using the front clip can be helpful if your dog is reactive and there is potential for pulling,But it will not train you dog for you and does not stop the dog from pulling ('no pull' harnesses are misleading that way)and if the dog constantly pulls, having it clipped to the front can begin to affect their gait.It also goes over their head and then 2 clips must be engaged so most dogs need positively conditioned to this to be comfortable.
Size chart/recommendation is accurate. He was nearing the bigger end of small, so I sized up and there’s a LOT of leeway in terms of adjustability with this harness. You can also tuck the extra bit into the body of the harness itself, so the dummy doesn’t pee on it. Fits really well! Not sure what that review complaining about the elastic was about because the harness is entirely non-elastic. Kind of wish the head hole was elastic though, because he has big ears and doesn’t like the harness so it’s hard getting it over his head when he’s moving. Oh well I’m not the one wearing it.
Seems like a good investment thus far. A small is a perfect fit on my 6mo old male Shiba Inu. He doesn’t even seem to care that it’s on him.I will update once it’s more clear how it holds up and how he does on lead with it. -update- it's still working great and holding up nicely! Absolutely no complaints. Wears it daily!I can pick him up by the handle to toss him in a vehicle and he’s fine with it.
Very secure for my wiggling escape artist puppy. She is 11.5 pounds, neck 11", girth 16" before her hair cut! So might be slightly less. The harness is adjustable and this is adjusted almost as big as possible. So the S would be way to large for her, especially since it is so sturdy. Canvas type fabric with some padding on tummy side. She needs this sturdy one to manage her right now, without hurting her. I'm very happy with it. She's a poodle-terrier mix.
