This system is the only system I will ever buy! The remote and fence both work great and the customer service is amazing!!! I have used it for several high energy GSP’s and we now have 4 collars and 2 remotes because we love it so much!!!

I got the fence and couldn’t wait to get it open and set up because I had just purchased a new puppy. Australian Sheppard poodle mix. I chose to spend $80 and buy an edger/trencher and it digs down 2-4 inches and I used a paint stir stick and pushed the wire down into the trench. My pup was completely trained to the fence in a week. He did get confused and froze up the very first time he went to far but he wasn’t barking or seeming in pain. Just wasn’t comfortable for sure. I picked him up and showed him the flags again and now it’s been 2 1/2 months and he hasn’t once gone further than to just get the beeping. What I recommend is either taking off the collar or remembering to turn it off if you are someone who brings your dog with you everywhere. That is very important. Otherwise you’ll hear about it from your dog when you back out of the driveway. That was also something that only happened once and I learned quick. I have had a couple questions about everything and customer service was more of a help and more kind to me than I ever thought anyone would be. So nice, easy to talk to, and most of all patient with me. The remote is such a bonus ti the system. Being able to have my dog with me when I’m on a job site or out with my daughter on a bike ride. It’s nice to know I have that security if I need it.
Deluxe Dog Fence System Works very well. I recommend the Pet Control HQ product. My pups adapted well to the remote training session. They respect the wire fence boundaries. The audio cue is more than sufficient to deter my pups from negative behavior. It’s worth your money and gives you peace of mind. PS, customer service is fantastic!
Pet Control HQ containment system with a shock collar was worth every dollar. At first, I was a bit hesitant to purchase this product because of the price and the fact other products like this haven’t worked on my large dog. My dog is a Mastiff Pitbull mix that weighs 110 lbs. Once I started to use the fence and collar, I quickly saw the value. The fence was easy to setup following the instructions. The collar worked well even on the lower settings. I highly recommend Pet Control HQ containment system and collar over other systems out there, especially if you have a big dog.
We absolutely LOVE this system!! While I hate the idea of shocking the dogs, I know that it is very mild (we've never had a yelp and only very minor and short-lived fearfulness) and only took a couple of times for them to learn behavior that has been very impactful to all of our lives. Our dogs are able to enjoy the yard to the fullest, we have sanity knowing they are safe (but of course always still monitor them), we're not being scarred by cable wires and the dogs are much more well-behaved! This system is WELL worth the very affordable price and I HIGHLY recommend it!! For those of you that love details like me, please read on!A little background: We used to use a cable tie with a run connected to two trees in our large backyard. I was hesitant to switch to an invisible fence because I did not trust our 10-year-old goldendoodle (65 pounds) to stop running after crossing the shock threshold, and we are on a tight budget so I was convinced we couldn't afford a wire system. However, once we added our one-year-old labradoodle (70 pounds), the cable ties were no longer an option. We tried, but it was impossible to keep them from getting tangled, not to mention that you're taking your life into your hands if you attempt to walk or do anything in the backyard. So, my husband finally found this system that can manage multiple collars, is very affordable (especially for what you get!) AND has a remote so that our girl could learn that she cannot stay outside the boundary and had to come back into the yard, as opposed to receiving one shock at the boundary without a remote to continue the message.Set-up was very easy and the manual was very helpful. We ran about 400 feet of wire, so the spool that was included was plenty and left us extra for the two times it needed to be spliced because we were lazy and didn't bury it right away before mowing the lawn... ha! Luckily the system comes with some underground grade splicing housing so we could fix it right away and then proceeded to bury the line. We found that the resistor is very helpful to reduce the threshold space, to maximize the space in our backyard and eliminate interference from other parts of the line. During one of the splicing incidents, we lost the resistor, but I contacted the company (in Australia) and they were very responsive and friendly. We made sure that when we set-up our boundary that it included the entirety of the house as well, with enough space to where the wire is so that the collars do not go off in the house. This has also worked to teach them that they cannot run out the front door either! The only place in the house that the collars are triggered is in the corner of my office, which is directly above the spot in the basement where the control box completes the wire loop. I just make sure that their collars are off when they're sleeping under my desk.On to how the pups are doing! This system thought of pretty much everything! Training was very easy and our dogs picked it up in no time. Our senior girl did become a little fearful (not usually her personality), but it went away after two 10-minute sessions. Our puppy learned in one quick session! The system first audibly beeps, then vibrates and finally shocks if they continue do not move away from the boundary. There are 10 shock levels, but we've never had to go above 4 (well except once we when went to 7 - there was a squirrel involved, haha!). We've pretty much only used the beep on the remote to train for jumping/barking/mouthiness. When barking gets too out of control, we may have to use the vibration, but have never had to use the shock. Both our dogs love to play in the water, so I love that these units are water-proof and come with rubber pieces attached that plug into the charging port to keep water out. I had a heck of a time getting them in, so I just left them and we have not had any problems with them. The puppy plays in the sprinkler non-stop, but we have not tested the units in a pool. Our girl did run past the threshold a total of one time, chasing a rabbit. I was able to use the remote to continually shock her (rather than receiving just the one as she crossed the line for systems without remotes) until she returned to the yard. She did not show any signs of fear or pain and has not done it since, even when I haven't put the collars on. We have also used the remote to control jumping, barking and puppy mouthiness when he was in his teething stage. It has been AMAZING.The collars themselves are tolerated extremely well by both our pups. We try to take them off when they are inside, but they are in and out allll day long (we both work from home) and so sometimes they're on inside. I also marked the collars so I wouldn't have to fit each squirming dog every time I tried to put them on (orange collar = black sharpie, black collar = silver paint marker). The collars will last more than a day, but I just make a habit of charging them every night when we go to bed so I don't ...
